Electronic dartboards have a number of features that many players prefer over traditional dartboards such as bristle dartboards.
The Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 comes highly recommended….
The Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 features:
- 39 games built-in games
- Supports up to 8 players
- Boasts a screen size of 15.5’’
If you want to play solo, the dartboard has an option which lets you compete against the computer….
…also, if you want to add some fun to your game, there is a heckler feature which will taunt you every time you miss the target…
…finally, if you want to reduce bounce-outs, the micro-thin dividers – with which this dartboard is equipped, should come handy.
Now that you have an overview of what this dartboard is like, let’s turn our attention to the features. And believe you me, they are plenty in number.
Features of the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800
This is an electronic dart machine. It has a computer. And it’s fantastic!
According to the manufacturer, the micro-thin segment is there to reduce bounce-outs.
After all, nobody likes picking up darts off the floor.
It doesn’t mean that you will eradicate bounce-outs from your life – there will be times when poor throws will result in bounce-outs.
Nevertheless, to give the micro-thin segment its credit, the frequency of bounce-outs are much less than other electronic dartboards.
You won’t get the same rate as a bristle dartboard but it comes close.
Easy to read scoreboard
…it’s moving forward after every few minutes to read the score.
THANKFULLY, the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 has a Jumbo X/O LED score display
The characters displaying on the board large and clear and the scoreboard is wide enough to allow you to see the score even from 8 feet away.
The image above showing the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 scoreboard does not do it quite justice… …but suffice to say it is a bright and easy-to-read scoreboard and you’ll have no problems seeing it.
…the “Heckler” feature.
The Heckler feature will play “applauds” when you make good scores…BUT…
When you make bad scores it will barrack you.
If you like fun with your friends you’ll probably find it funny 🙂
However, if you are playing on your own or are practising for the first few times, you may find it annoying.
Better turn it “Off” when you are practicing!
FREE darts with every dartboard
That’s right, you get two sets of darts (not one!).
And they will keep you going for a while…
…but if you start getting serious with this dartboard you will probably want to ditch them quickly and order some more expensive sets.
Super-tough nylon segments
The board has tough nylon segments which according to the manufacturer, have two qualities:
(1) they make the board quiet, and
(2) they are long lasting.
Electronic boards are not as quiet as bristle dartboards but this is quieter than other electronic boards.
As for the durability, this claim holds up very well.
Just mount the board according to the instruction manual and provided you don’t do anything silly it should last longer than your average electronic dartboard.
The toughened plastic segments resemble a square honeycomb structure which gives the board rigidity and very good playability.
It is a good quality, well made board that is robust and very durable…
…treated well and looked after it should give you many years’ excellent use.
The voice factor. It’s LOUD
Standing at the regulation distance…the voice is LOUD.
In fact, it will take you a while to get used to the sound of the darts embedding in the plastic holes.
You can reduce the volume, though.
Just raise the board off the wall a little and insert a soft insulator in between. It reduces the sound but it doesn’t make it quiet. So beware!
EXCLUSIVE “square hole technology”
The darts stay in the board thanks to the exclusive Arachnid “Square Hole” technology.
This “holds” the darts better than other electronic dartboards.
The bounce-out rate of this dartboard is on the lower side – thanks to the square hole technology and the micro-thin segment dividers.
This board will hold the darts very well and reduce the agonising bounce-outs.
Super-bright LED display
LED display? Yes, Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 has a good one!
It is important because not only are LEDs brighter but they also last longer than other displays.
The similarities, however, end there. For, while normal electronic dartboards come with a single display, Arachnid has upped the ante. How?
By utilising 9 different LED displays.
CPU Vs Mode
The Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 allows up to 8 players to play together.
However, there might be a time when you are alone or feeling bored. For that time, the CPU Vs Mode comes into play.
As the name suggests, this mode allows you to compete with the computer.

Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 scoring and suggestion
When it comes to scoring, this electronic dartboard is probably the best in business.
In addition to four individual score displays, it has four traditional X/O displays for cricket, hence making it easier to note who’s winning or losing at any particular time.
Alongside the scoring board, you can also see a large display which CHURNS OUT suggestions during the game to help you improve.
AND, if you are playing the game for the first time and run into difficulties the Arachnid Computer will sense it before giving suggestions on how to setup your game.
Games to play on the Arachnid Cricket Pro 800
Finally, we have arrived at the most important part. From 301 to 901 – and ODD’s to bowling.
There are 39 games you can play on this board!
Each game has 7 different playing levels based on an ascending order of difficulty.
Put simply, if you are an amateur, you can set up the game at level one to learn the basics before trying the upper levels as you master each game.
You might never get round to playing all 39 of them, but it’s good to have them all the same!
